Fluminense Football Club is waiting for Pafos' decision on Lelê's future, who can be bought for 1 million euros. Lelê, 28, was loaned to Pafos in January and scored four goals in 14 games, helping the club win the Cyprus Cup. Pafos has two options to keep the player: extend the loan for another year, valued at 200,000 euros, or exercise the buyout option, estimated at 1 million euros. Fluminense signed Lelé in 2023, after he stood out at Volta Redonda, but failed to repeat his good performance at the tricolor club. Despite being part of the Libertadores champion campaign, the player was loaned in subsequent seasons to Ceará and Atlético-GO. In total, he played 54 games and scored eight goals. Pafos is led by Portuguese coach Ricardo Sá Pinto, who coached Vasco in 2020 in Brazil.
